Best Imitation of a Roof: Dara, for putting up blocks and forcing the other teams to adjust their hits.
Best Imitation of an WWE Wrestler: Rachel, for tracking down a shanked ball and nearly taking out the scorer’s table at the same time. While I appreciate the effort, next time, please stop before the really hard surface. (Rule #1)
Best In Game Adjustments: Rachel, Cadence, Charlotte and Addison. Our setter 1st ball passing was a little chaotic, so, we figured out our strategy, made our adjustments and the final product was that actually ran plays from our libero setting.
Best Houdini Impression: The ball was hit onto our side, our pass was about 7 feet high and heading towards the net, too far away from the setter, but Aleyna jumped got her hands up and magically set the ball by the skin of her fingertips, bought us just enough time for Dara to put an attack on the ball.
Deep Corner, 5 points serve: Anna, for hitting the serve high, deep an right square into the deep right corner. If it were up to me, it would be 5 points.

Best Almost Chicken, Turkey Award: Cadence, Ashlyn for serving 2 in a row for many serves. Almost got them… you’ll get them next time!

Best Sphere: Caroline, for being the best all around player. Good Solid Play.
Billiard Award: Cadence and Aleyna for the best 1-2 combination, where Cadence got the first ball, and set it to Aleyna who, hit it down for a point!
Best Imitation of Dwayne Johnson: Addison for playing a strong game, for being a Rock for our team.
Best Mariano Rivera Impression: Ashlyn for closing out matches with aces. Great job!
Best Protractor Impression: Dara, Aleyna for hitting balls at almost impossible angles which landed within 2′!
Best Float Serves that went out: Cadence. You consistently hit these AWESOME float serves that just. barely. went wide right. Just a measly 12 inches to the left, would have resulted in aces. The potential is there, we all saw it. We’ll harness this power.
Best impression of a Tack: Charlotte and Addison for Tack Sharp passing.
Best Block Party: Francesca, Aleyna, Anna, Dara for putting up blocks and keep us in the game.
Best Pass Hit Combination: Ally, for breaking their best server, then transitioning and THEN hitting the ball deep corner.
Best UnConventional Kill: Anna, for best bump kill. A difficult ball came over and you passed it over the net, but in the perfect spot, for a kill!
Best Serving Adjustments: Ally and Ashlyn. I asked you to change your serve to take advantage of your strengths and you implemented the changes with great results.
Best Nose for the Ball: Cadence. We were in chaos. The ball was coming down. You ran AROUND Dara from the right, and passed the ball up from her LEFT knee for someone to hit the ball over. Just wow.
Da Crusha Award: Francesca for Crushing several sets late in Saturday’s matches.
Breaking Rule #1 Serves: Francesca and Cadence. Both of you served extremely low, hard and flat serves, that our opponents shanked them… INTO their teammates’ head. They just couldn’t react fast enough.
Best 2 Handed Putter Downer: Dara, for strong play at the net by rejecting their balls w/ both hands!
Best Impression of Gandolf: Aleyna. They overpassed the ball and you channeled your inner Gandolf and said “You shall not pass” and hit the ball back over.
Best Wonder Woman Impression: Charlotte for flying like Wonder Woman into the chairs to track down a shanked pass.
Best Math Homework: Caroline for having the highest hitting and serving percentage! This is SUPER! A+
Best Stressball Impression: Aleyna, hit a ball down, middle middle, and it squishes the passer. She just couldn’t get the ball into the air.
Best Impression of a Construction Vehicle: Cadence for the best setter dump.
Best Top Spin Serves: Rachel and Ally. ‘Nuff Said
Best Duck Impression: Anna and Addison. In each of your situations, a ball was coming right at you, but you knew it was out, so you ducked out of the way and sure enough the balls went by for our points. Good job, nice court awareness.
Best Difficult Geometry Award: Ashlyn. Their outside was off the court and puts a hit on the ball, extreme hard angle, but you read the hit and angle and put up a perfect pass.
Best Fish Hit: Charlotte for taking control of a ball that was deep on our side and hit the ball that skimmed the top of the net. This was part of a series where you got progressively better in hitting those balls. Way to keep working on getting better within the game.
Best Falling Away Hit: Ally, the ball was set behind you, and you back pedaled… back pedaled and hit the ball, with strength into their corner for the attack.
